Archeon

We went to the Archeon on Wednesday. And I took some photo's so enjoy my boring slide show of replica buildings

It looks can be deceiving this line was long for Archeon

First off the Neolithic age

This house is a typical late bronze age house used in the area

I love these long houses but my mom hates them xD

The Roman era has been set really messy. Because it shares its history patch with the Knight tournaments from the medieval period.... This could have been placed better...

This is our local coast-line goddess. Her name is Nehalennia she was worshiped by the ancient sailors for protection against the north sea. She was originally worshiped in (Zee)Sealand, But the practice was later extended to France and Friesland in the Roman period. 

The Roman baths where open. Sadly they didn't bother to turn one the Roman sauna.

 Then again the water does look murky... Even for a roman bath...

 How does the sand even get in there?

There where vikings camped everywhere. But their produce was of little interest to me. Also there where no Swedes nor Danish nor English. Just Dutch and German vikings... They should have showed up as Celts!! My northern ancestors ashes are rolling in the wind with contempt at the low respect they get lol.

They do got awesome shields though.

I forgot what rune this was and my runic is rusty. I think this is the saga of Leif Ericson or Erik the Red...

This is a fishers house from just after the roman period. It looks cool. I'd live here.

And then we jump to the early middle ages, this is when Dutch Architecture starts to appear. Seems legit...

First example of a 3 story house.

Starting to use bricks

 This is a replica of a home from the 8th century, The original stood in Delft.

Some crops. I was bored

 More crops lol I can't even see what herbs are growing here

And old yarn. Made from several stuff including cows urine

And finally the monastery/diner nothing interesting here

So you lived with boring archaeological stuff long enough. Have so cute animals and pets

 She was a cutie. Such a beautiful dog

 And so cheerful too!

Any way back to the cute chicks. Awww she sees something

 They are so adorable

 I dunno how many there where, Like 20 I think

 So tiny <3

 This is one my mom made. Aww this one is so lazy

 Though my noisy camera woke her up quickly

 This one is seeking higher sights to finds is mommy.

 I asked him politely to crow for us. And so he did

 Away from the Archeon is a crow who was searching for food in the trashcan

And a cat who thought nobody saw him lol
